Dangers of the Antarctic

In I. Sample`s (May 15, 2008) “Science: Global warming: World`s wildlife and environment already hit by climate change, major study shows: 90% of damage caused by rising temperatures: Conclusions based on reports going back to 1970” he explains that the population of the Antarctic penguin has been decreasing because of climate change and increasing temperatures. The wildlife and environment on every continent have been confused because of global warming. It might be happening because of human activity. Changing the environment causes melting permafrost, retreating glaciers and rising temperatures because of global warming. Also, krill has suffered from a decrease in population because of the increasing temperature of the oceans.

Now, we have many problems because of global warming, because people make serious pollution. I plan to write that freon gas makes a hole in the ozone, factories can eliminate contaminants by water pollution, and the cars can make air pollution.

First, freon gas makes a hole in the ozone. The freon gas comes out while using refrigerator, electronic products, and spray products. It causes an attack on ozone. For example, today many people use these products because freon gas has many benefits; it has small surface tension, it can easily melt oil, and it does not explode, because it is colorless, adovlery, and incombustible. But, freon gas causes destruction of ozone. So, we should use less of these products.

Second, factories can eliminate contaminants by water pollution. These reasons make serious problems, because all the world`s oceans are connected. Pollution does not stay where it begins. For example, some factories making dangerous substances have dumped in oceans such things as factory wastes, chemicals, and oil. So, we should keep the laws and not let them do that because it is illegal and it makes water pollution.

Finally, the cars can make air pollution because today the cars are being driven faster. Also, we are using too much chemicals because we are used to cars. It makes serious air pollution. For example, when we use cars, it causes the air to change faster, because of smog, destruction of ozone, and the making of harmful air pollution. Moreover, the cars emit exhaust gas. So, we should reduce the use of cars, because it might make good environment.

In conclusion, we should protect the environment, because when we do not have to protect the environment, it causes the killing of Antarctic animals. Also, if we are using froen gas, it might make an ozone hole, and factories can eliminate contaminants because of water pollution. Also, when people use cars, it makes serious air pollution. So, we should reduce using freon gas and cars. Also, we should keep watch on water pollution by factories.
